Amherst, NY – Inspire Dental Group, a multi-specialty dental practice with offices in Amherst, West Seneca and downtown Buffalo, announces the addition of Andy Gordon, DDS, to the practice. Dr. Gordon is now seeing patients at Inspire’s office in Amherst.

Dr. Gordon received her Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Saint John Fisher College, and her Doctrine of Dental Surgery from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine.

An avid photographer of Buffalo architecture, wooden furniture maker, and patron of the local music scene, Dr. Gordon brings her artistic interests to her work in dentistry. 

“I’ve always had equal interests in both art and dentistry,” says Dr. Gordon. “I think art is important to dentistry because a lot of people are self-conscious about their smile. Having an artistic eye can help them get the results they’re looking for.” 

Dr. Gordon is a member of the American Dental Association and is certified by the American Board of Dental Examiners. Dr. Gordon grew up just outside of Rochester, NY and now lives in the city of Buffalo.

Amherst, NY – Inspire Dental Group, a multi-specialty dental practice with offices in Amherst, West Seneca and downtown Buffalo, announces the addition of Laura Shim, DMD, to the practice. Dr. Shim is now seeing patients at Inspire’s office in Amherst.

Dr. Shim received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her Doctrine of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She is currently pursuing advanced education in orthodontics at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. 

As a dentist certified in Invisalign and Diode Laser soft tissue recontouring with experience in implant dentistry and veneers, Dr. Shim believes dentistry is the perfect mix of science and art. 

“Inspire Dental is an ideal place to practice all aspects of dentistry,” says Dr. Shim. “The supportive relationship between the staff, doctors, and patients is really wonderful, and with everyone working so well as a team, we create really beautiful outcomes for our patients.” 

Dr. Shim is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of American Orthodontics. An Oregon native, Dr. Shim now lives in Buffalo, NY.

Dr. Ducey received her Bachelor of Science degree in Integrative Neuroscience from Binghamton University, and her Doctrine of Dental Surgery from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine.

As a Buffalo native who was an Inspire Dental patient before she became a dentist, Dr. Ducey is proud to provide the same comfortable, relaxing environment to her patients that she experienced herself. 

“A lot of people have negative associations with the dentist in general, especially people who have had bad experiences in the past,” says Dr. Ducey. “I try to talk to patients like a friend or family member so they feel at ease. I always explain the next step in what I’m doing so there are no surprises, and they’re not hesitant to come back.” 

Dr. Ducey is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, and the Eight District Dental Association, and is certified by the American Board of Dental Examiners. She lives in Buffalo, NY.
